This is really going to be an apology this year. It was not a good year writing-wise for me personally. So I'm groveling right up front. No... there is no Reunion story this time. Sorry about that, folks. I was lucky to even get the little one done that I did. Writing just had to take a back seat to other things going on in life. Hopefully, I can get back on track for next time. I do have several stories started and waiting for my attention. Fortunately, the Michaels family is patient. I can only hope you, the readers, are so inclined.
In light of my own lack of creativity, I need to send out BIG thanks to everyone who did manage to write for us this year. Maura, Gina, Erin, Elaine, and our newcomers, Joanne and Sheila. It's all due to them that we even have issue 7. We even managed to find some of Mariann's artwork that, for some unknown reason, we'd never used. So now we get to thank Mariann for her artistic talents. Yeah! That always makes me happy. Cathy also managed to get artsy this year and provide us with some great stuff. Thanks, Cathy.
You may have noticed that the cover art this year is a piece we used already in issue #1. Honestly, we didn't have a cover for this year and I thought Mariann's work would be a great one. So, there you are. I guess this is a thinly veiled (or not so thinly veiled) plea for artwork. We love having it, and can always use it. So, if you're artistically bent (or just plain bent), feel free to let us know.
In any case, I hope you enjoy this issue of Relativity. Even though it's tiny, I think the stories are worth your time. Thanks to you for being loyal readers.
Once more, I have to let my family know how much I appreciate them. To Kerry, Devin, Ian and Andrew... you are the best. Thanks for letting me obsess.
