TWENTY MINUTES OF APOLOGY

First of all, I really would like to apologize to anyone who actually lives in or near Santa Fe. Having never been there myself, I'm sure I've played fast and loose with the geography. Please forgive me for any glaring errors. I've had to rely on maps and movies for my meager information.

Second, if you've read Relativity, then you certainly are aware of the many typos and spacing problems we had. There were also some timeline mixups. Oh well! Hopefully this issue is an improvement over the last, at least technically speaking. We do learn by doing.

Also, for any reader who saw Sam Beckett in the genealogy and wondered where the heck he was during all the reunions, have patience. Sam came into the family late and as a result, hasn't had as much time to be incorporated into our writing. We're working on it. In fact, there are several "Sam" stories in progress for next time. So much for groveling. On to other matters.

I must say a word regarding the apocryphal story. When Robin and Abdul first broached the subject of vampires and werewolves in the family, I must admit, I was a bit reluctant. But then, I decided, why not. It might be fun. The rest of us get a little too serious sometimes. Besides, Robin is a very good, humorous writer. Although she can be... um... irreverent at times, I knew she wouldn't do anything too terrible to our cousins. I loved "Michaels by Moonlight." I hope you do too.

There are a lot of people to thank for helping us get this issue done. Especially since we procrastinated (now there's an understatement) till the very last minute. Our first issue we had material that had been written over a long period of time. We basically just had to input and organize. This time we had to produce all new stories. Most of them were written within the last few months. So a big, big thanks to all the cousin authors who put their minds to work and kept cranking out stories, and then didn't get upset when we edited them to shreds.

Once more we owe a lot to Sharon for getting out the whip and making people draw for us. Which means we also have to grovel to Mariann, Joy, Nita and Robin for being creative on command.

I must personally thank Pat for her "Katie Laura Universe", which I have dipped into repeatedly. Thanks for creating Brian and for letting me borrow him. And thanks to Nita as well for her creation of Caitlin. I don't even bother to ask anymore. I just use her. I hope you don't mind, Nita. I've tried not to do too many bad things to her.

Of course, thanks to Elaine for all her help. Nothing would get done without her tireless efforts.

And again, thanks to Kerry for being so supportive and helping us print this year. And to Devin, Ian and Andrew for letting Mom write.

I hope you enjoy all our efforts. Read away.
